Called appliance pros and found replacement part and ordered it. Took out the old one by removing the plastic tabs with screw driver and pliers. They were stubborn in coming out. Once I got them out, I lined up the new tabs of the new plastic window with the wholes and persuaded them in with my hands and fist. Read more
Ordered a replacement hinge and 2 each of the top and bottom sleeves. I saw some stories where the customer had reused the sleeves. I don't recommend this since they are the wear part of the hinge assembly. Spend the couple of extra bucks to do a first class job. You will need a Torx driver for the screws. Read more

Ordered both the pot metal hinge and the plastic door bracket just in case for our 2008 Bosch electric dryer. The upper arm of the metal hinge broke. Quick and easy fix, torx screws. One thing I missed, there were plastic slip on bearing on all four of the hinge pins. I reused the old ones. Adjusted the door, working great, hope to get another decade of use. After reviewing various posts on the internet, I tested the high heat temperature limiter and determined it was faulty due to lint buildup. Ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com on Friday afternoon and parts were delivered on Saturday afternoon. Replaced the parts- dryer works as good as new. Read more
So it broke off and left broken plastic bosses with screw points sticking out of the drum. The screw points would have damaged anything being dried. I took standard 5/16 fuel hose and tie strapped 1/2" pieces of the hose over the broken bosses. The hose pieces covered the screw points and allowed the dryer to be used.
