The first big trick is deciding what is wrong, there seemed like four possibilities. The two right angle brackets and the two hinge assemblies. By opening and closing the door and pulling the tub to one side you can feel the spring flexing (or not) on the right side of the door. After hunting the web for info on causes for this problem and finding only vague information, I found Appliance Pros website. By this time, i had narrowed the problem to either the drive hub or the Control board, which is about $150 difference in cost between the two!! I used the site's info on how to run the automatic diagnostics test. This gave me a C8 failure (drum wouldn't spin). I followed the directions for the manual motor tests and everything passed. Both hinges were replaced as well as the top of the washer. Plenty of videos for the hinges, but I found none for the top. Most information concerning the top was to just call a professional. It took about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs to replace. I took my time and took plenty of photos for the connections. I also took extra time to clean the reservoirs and lines. It's not difficult just take your time. It also helps to have a helper to hold the top in place to reconnect everything. Read more
