I had to detach the top edge of the dishwasher from the counter, then remove the toe plate and lower the legs so the dishwasher could slide out from under the cabinet. I ran a washing cycle and observed...and when the spraying part of the cycled started, water started pouring out from under the insulation on top of the machine. The new tube would not snap on, because the plastic insulation on the dish rack swelled up, so i could not snap on the tube. So I filed of some of the swollen insulation, and now so I could snap the tube on and it works. Thanks you. I Read more
This kit fits both D style and T style shafts.
We removed the spray arm from the Spray Arm Hub and Support Assembly (GE part WD22X126) and discovered that the Check Valve (GE part WD1X5488), which prevents dirty water from flowing back into the tub, was missing completely. Replacement was very easy - the soft rubber valve pushes into position from the inside of the Support Assembly. We also found that the Plastic Thrust Washer (GE part WD3X766) inside the center of the Spray Arm Hub had eroded considerably, so we replaced that as well. Read more
