Electromechanical Icemaker Parts
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10190961
The Icemaker is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This component is responsible for producing ice by automatically filling with water, freezing it, and then ejecting the ice cubes into the storage bin. Please note that for installation, you will need to reuse the original cover and bracket from your existing icemaker. Makes 5 cubes at a time.
Causes of a bad icemaker can include mechanical failures, clogged water lines, or electrical issues. Over time, wear and tear from constant use or exposure to hard water and impurities can also affect its performance.
Symptoms of a bad icemaker include:
- The icemaker not producing ice
- Ice cubes being smaller than usual or misshapen
- Leaking water inside the freezer
- Unusual noises during the ice-making process
- The ice bin not filling up
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

The Ice Maker Assembly Kit is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. This kit includes the ice maker assembly and installation mounting hardware. For the ice maker to function correctly, it is important to set the temperature of the freezer within the range of 0 to 5 degrees Fahrenheit (-18 to -15 degrees Celsius).

Symptoms of a bad ice maker assembly include:

- Ice cubes jamming or backing up inside the maker
- Leaks or wetness under the refrigerator
- Ice dispenser not functioning properly
This OEM LG replacement is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore refrigerators.

Ice maker was broken for almost as long has i had it Roger F. • Bellefontaine , OH • April 04, 2015
All it really took to fix it was to take off 3 screws and loosen one larger screw. It really was that easy but it took a lot longer to do because we took out a lot of screws that we would not have needed too.

Part Number: W10916040
This refrigerator icemaker assembly forms and ejects ice cubes automatically to keep your freezer's ice bin stocked. Replacing a failed unit restores consistent ice production when the original stops cycling or makes little to no ice. What it does:
- Coordinates fill, freeze, and harvest to produce batches of ice cubes
- Ejects cubes into the bin and halts production when the bin is full (model-dependent control)
- Restores function when the old icemaker no longer cycles or ejects
- Typical symptoms: No ice production, intermittent or low ice output, cubes stuck in the mold, icemaker not advancing through a harvest
What's included:
Install notes:
- Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply before servicing
- Remove the ice bin; loosen mounting screws and disconnect the wiring connector
- Position the new assembly, reconnect the harness, align the fill cup to the fill tube, and secure with screws
- Restore power and water; check for proper fill and harvest

Replace icemaker Larry C. • Summerville , SC • March 12, 2014
Your staff was able to find the part I needed and ship it to me for about $60, this instead of a appliance repairman's quote of about $275. I received the part and it took about 15 min. to install. We put the ice cube trays away again, and have our icemaker refrigerator back. Thank you for being there.

Part Number: 5304480709
This Icemaker assembly replaces the refrigerator freezer icemaker to restore automatic ice production and delivery to the ice bin. It installs where the original icemaker mounts and reconnects to the existing water supply and wiring. What it does:
- Cycles through fill, freeze and harvest stages to form ice cubes and drop them into the bin
- Receives water from the inlet and meters fill volume to produce properly sized cubes
- Stops producing ice when the bin is full to prevent overflow or ice buildup
- Resolves common symptoms like no ice production, few or misshapen cubes, or an icemaker that won't cycle
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power and water supply before starting any work
- Handle the ice bin and harness carefully; use basic hand tools for removal and reinstallation
- Follow model-specific service manual or OEM instructions for wiring and alignment
- After installation, restore power/water and run a test cycle to ensure proper operation
