Fix water slowly leaking into your washer tub when the machine is off. This water inlet valve stops leaks caused by hard water deposits. DIY repair.
I replaced the water inlet valve. Apparently, the hard water in my house slowly deposits crud around the valves such at over time, the valve seals quit forming a tight seal when closing. This allows water to slowly leak through, even with the machine off. I removed the top of the washer, disconnected hoses and wires and replaced the valve in fairly short order.
