This tub displacement switch monitors water level/pressure to help the washer detect tub fill and balance, reducing overfill and load sensing errors. It replaces a worn or faulty unit to restore reliable fill and balance sensing. What it does:
- Senses tub water displacement/pressure changes so the washer can detect correct fill and load balance
- Helps prevent overfilling and supports proper spin cycles by reporting tub condition to the control
- Commonly replaced when washer overfills, won't start spin, or shows erratic fill behavior
What's included: One tub displacement switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power before accessing internal components to avoid shock
- Mounts to the washer chassis with electrical connector and vacuum/pressure hose; reuse existing hose if undamaged
- Verify hose and fittings are intact and free of blockages before installation

Neptune mah4000 had a no spin but did pump water out but not all of it Guillermo S. • Chicago , IL • March 06, 2017
I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart.
