Unscrewed old flap. Then unplugged it. Plugged in new flap ( make sure it is right side up). Screw both hinges back, and voilà, fridge fixed! Read more

After 4 years of heavy use nearly all of the facia assembly's plastic attachment tabs were broken. This caused the facia to pull away from the door while trying to open the dishwasher. I ordered a replacement facia from appliancepartspro.com ($52 with shipping, part arrive in one day!) and installed it in about 30 minutes. Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Ordered the part (surprised it was even available after such a long time). It took my wife and myself to figure out the how to do the replacement..since there were no specific instructions. We discoved it along the way and did not break anything else. Took about 15 to 20 minutes to get it done. We would have been spending $700 to replace the dishwasher had the part not been available.
