The Refrigerator Inverter Board is an OEM part for GE refrigerators, designed to control the compressor's speed. This sophisticated electronic component adjusts the compressor's power based on the cooling demand, enhancing the refrigerator's efficiency and overall performance. By modulating the compressor's operation, the inverter board plays a critical role in maintaining the desired temperature within the fridge and freezer compartments, ensuring your food is preserved under optimal conditions.
Causes for a Refrigerator Inverter Board to fail can include electrical surges that damage the board's components, wear and tear over time affecting its functionality, or issues with the refrigerator's cooling system that put additional strain on the inverter board.
Symptoms of a bad Refrigerator Inverter Board include:
- The refrigerator fails to cool properly
- Unusual noises coming from the refrigerator
- The fridge experiences frequent temperature fluctuations
This OEM GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
