Removed 2 screws from mullion strip heater and slid it up off the tabs at top and bottom. Unhooked the plug and removed it. Verified proper mullion heater and then plugged wiring connection back together, positioned slide clips back in line and slid mullion down onto the clips. Tucked the wiring back into opening positioned cover back in place and reiinstalled the 2 screws. I searched online and easily found the best price for the Front Plate Assembly to be AppliancePartsPros.com. Even though I didn't pay for two day shipping, the part was shipped the next day and received the following day (Saturday), outstanding service. Installing the piece was quite simple, requiring removing two screws, slipping the old part off of two retaining clips and disconnecting one wire connector. Reverse this to install new part. Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Easier than sending them back since I had the whole thing apart anyways. The part I really needed was no longer available, the outside door. Replaced the door and issue is resolved. I do like that LG upgraded the replacement part to prevent the plastic pin that broke. Now they have 2 removable pins and it is much stronger. Read more
