While shelves like this one are durable, they can be damaged if made to hold too many products or if dropped while cleaning.The first step to replacement is unplugging the appliance or turning off the appropriate circuit breaker. The items that are on the broken or damaged glass shelf will need to be moved until the process is complete. Grasp the assembly and lift it so it can be removed from the appliance. The trim around the edge can be removed and installed onto the new glass shelf. Once that is complete, install the new glass shelf and replace the items that were on the original part.
