The washer was pausing during cycles, cloths were soaking wet, spin cycle only worked on drain and spin at the end of the Ioad (it would spin slowly otherwise), soap dispenser still had the soap in it or it would be filled with water after the cycle was over. I watched videos on how to change... Read more
Fix no water or ice, leaking valve, or slow water flow from your dispenser. This refrigerator water inlet valve is a straightforward DIY repair.
First I replaced the filter thinking it was the problem, but that was not the case. Next was replace water supply valve at the back of the refrigerator. It was very easy. Ordered new inlet water valve and float switch kit. After repairs it now works fine. However the water inlet valve outlet end for fill hose (not water source) and wire connections (supposedly for this unit) were oriented 180 degrees opposite. I had to gently remove the blue plastic valve off the metal support bracket and turn it around and press back in place. Fortunately it appears it was designed for either orientation. Also the solenoid had to be unclipped and also rotated. Again it was... Read more
