Torance H Citrus Spgs , FL March 02, 2020 Appliance: Model WRS576FIDN01 Ice maker auger quit turning. Remove and replaced the auger motor, shaft seal, and the chute seal. No problem. However, the causing failure was to broken wire on the bottom of the freezer door. Loom and blue wire were cut, due to being pinched. I had current to start with and the auger worked three times then quit. That's when I really had to start searching . Fun. Dale G Nolensville , TN June 18, 2019 Motor operating the ice dispenser was not operating. Entrance to my ice dispense in my Kenmore Elite side by side refrigerator was located beneath the ice compartment.in the freezer door. After removing the ice holder I had to remove 2 screws holding the shaft that runs from the motor to the rod that turns in the ice holder. The screws holding the plastic cover over the motor had to be removed. In my case the motor was encased in ice and I had to use a hairblower to remove free the motor from the frame. I used an ice pick gently to break up the ice . After lifting the motor out it was easy to replace the new motor and hook the electrical connection. Read More...
