Perijon for Model Number Thermador SCD272 My double oven had began working only intermittently from having power to no power at all. When power would return everything functioned normal, but would require resetting the clock. Thinking the control board was bad, I had the two control boards (for upper & lower oven) rebuilt as well as the ERC head. After re-installing & flipping the power breaker I began receiving an F7 code (never received any error codes before). Turned breaker off, check all the connections & powered up again. F7 code again. Powered off, re-checked connections & turned power back on. Oven is now back to having no power. I am wondering if I have a bad touch screen. Is there a way to test the touch display before spending $400 on a replacement? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Perijon. F7: The control is reading a shorted key. Possible bad connection due to wiring harness to the touch control board or a bad touch control board. You need to check the connection between the control head and touch panel. If the connection is good, replace the touch panel since the control board has been repaired already. Read More...
