Lisa for Model Number SCD302TP I ran a self clean cycle on my upper oven. When it was finished (or near finishing), it began to beep consistently and showed an FC on the panel. It would stop briefly by pressing OFF on the control panel, but to stop it entirely we had to flip the breaker. Once the oven completely cooled, the door unlocked, but the upper oven will not heat. The lower oven is fine. The fan works, lights work, and all of the display appears to work, but neither of the elements heat up.
Answer Hi Lisa. To the right is a oven thermostat that will open under a high heat situation. This part # is 00414633. Remove the power to check to see if is open with an ohmmeter. You can temporarily bypass this by jumping these 2 wires together and cover with electrical tape. Then turn on the power and see if the upper bake operates again. Thank You. Read More...
