Rc for Model Number S302ts My lower oven does not heat. The light works, sounds like it is on but does not heat on broil or below so I know it is not the coil. Is it the relay and which part?
Answer Hi Rc. OK there are a few checks that need to be taken before ordering parts. In between both cavities (mid plenum) beside the door latch is a safety thermostat. It will open if defective or if it senses too high of heat. This will stop element heating. It needs to be checked for closed continuity with an ohm meter. It is part # 00414633. The bake element is part # 00367648. The broil element is part # 00367647. They need to be checked for opens or shorts. They usually ohm out between 11-23 ohms. You need to also check to see if they are shorted to the mount itself. Check and make sure the 240 vac is tight at the terminal block. If all this is verified good, then really the control board kit is needed. If you do not get 120 vac out at the bake relay while it commands it for heat , then this is that part # 00702451 .
