Leonard for Model Number SCD2727P The display on my double oven was so dim that it couldn't be read in ambient light. I ordered the oven display repair kit (AP4829088), which I've just installed. I, now, have NO display, whatsoever, although I have power to the oven (as indicated by the "click" when I turn on the 240 v. circuit breaker). Is there some internal fuse or breaker that I've neglected to reset? This is the last of my kitchen appliances to (presently) be repaired. So far, I've induced my Maytag Neptune washer to high-speed spin (replaced the wax motor--after paying a "professional" appliance repairman $325, who left it as non-functional as he'd found it); my Frigidaire refridgerator to make ice (replaced the water-inlet valves) and reinforced the second set of knobs on my Jennaire cooktop (with 3/8" copper tubing, after paying $70 for replacements, which broke, just as the original ones had). When (and if) I can render my oven operational, I will be able to return to my day job--as an attorney. Help me, Obi Juan Kenobi--You're my only hope.
Answer Hello Leonard. Test for power coming to the relay board 00702451. If there is power there, and none to the display board, you will need to check and make sure you wired the board correctly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
