Ray for Model Number FDB4315LFCO According to a repairman I have a faulty control panel (part #: AP4499574) and would like to replace but not sure if I am capable. Can you send me repair/replacement instructions?
Answer Hi Ray. Remove power. Then remove the inner panel . Then remove the control board outer moisture cover. Then take a picture with a cell phone or mark the wires so you can reinstall them. However it mounts you can use a pair of pliers or a 1/4" nut driver to remove the clips or screws that hold down the board. Some wire connectors have a lock tab in the middle of the connection making it hard on purpose to unhook (safety). Use a pick tool to reach in and simply release the tab lock. Then make sure you have all connections tight. Its a quick fix and not too difficult. Make sure you ground out the static on metal a few times. Do not touch the control board circuits.
