  • Allows smooth adjustment across low-to-high heat settings
  • Commonly replaces a switch when a burner won't heat, only heats on certain settings, or won't turn off properly
  • Works with standard knob control interfaces to change element output
What's included:
  • 1 infinite switch for a single surface element
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the range at the breaker before servicing
  • Use insulated tools and avoid contact with terminal ends; verify power is off with a meter
  • Keep track of removed hardware and wire locations; take a photo before disassembly for reference

Bobby for Model Number EI26SS55GB0

My Ice dispenser stopped working and won't eject the ice. The Ice Maker works fine. The Auger is not turning. When I set the display for ICE and push in the paddle I hear the micro-Swich however the Ice Chute does not energize, open and the Auger motor does not start. The micro-switches test OK. I have changed out the Auger Motor and tested the old one. The old one was fine. The Auger switch in the refrigerator wall is good as well. When I depress the Auger switch I don't get an AC voltage drive power to the Auger motor. It appears to trace to the main power board. Can you tell me if this is what the cause is? I suspect this b/c the ice chute doe not open either.

Answer

Hello Bobby, Voltage for the dispenser is routed through the main board 5303918523. It is also dependent on the dispenser board 5303918584 and the harness, (check the harness at the freezer door hinge for damage). If you find the voltage but it does not continue to the auger motor, the last component the voltage got to but didn't get back out of will be the problem component. You need to also check the connectors in the rear of the freezer compartment since they can lose connection, too.
