Kia for Model Number fef336ece I recently changed the part no.316455400 for device fef336ece and exctly replaced all the wires from the old part to new part. When I turned the bake on there was a with smoke coming out of oven with the burning smell. Then I turned it off but the top part is working. I dont know what is wrong then?
Answer Hi Kia. Remove the power. Remove the oven racks. Use a flashlight and look at the bake element part # 316075103. Look at the broil element part # 316203200 to see if they burned up on the outside diameter of the element. It will create a "run" and scroll burning the element. Make sure when you replace the element that you have tight electrical connections. when the element wires are pushed back into the oven cavity you replace the insulation around the wires so inner heat does not escape through the holes burning up wires.
