Steve for Model Number FRS6R4EW2 My freezer will freeze and fridge will get cold if I manually turn the freezer knob to kick the compressor on.Once the compressor kicks off, my freezer will start to thaw, roughly 6-8 hours. But once I turn the freezer knob to the next number, the compressor kicks on and it starts freezing again. Seems like something isn't kicking the compressor on at any temp. Is this the freezer thermostat or the adaptive defrost? Or am I totally off base here?
