Heidi for Model Number frs6r5emb7 My freezer defrosted all food. Unit was still running cold but not freezing. Unplugged for a day and turned unit back on setting controls to factory settings didn't get cold again. Both sides of the motor still running. What causes this. It's only 4 years old.
Answer Hi Heidi. Inside the fresh food controls on the left towards the rear is a defrost control board part # 5303918476. It does control the defrost run time on/off due to the defrost circuit on/off aprox. every 6 -1/2 hrs. If you try to jumper the cold control wires together and still get no response, then I would change the defrost board.
