Janice R for Model Number FTF2140ES2 Months ago I suddenly could not get my machine to work on the quick cycle. Then another couple of months went by and the Regular cycle wouldn't work. I can use the perm. press and the Large load cycle o.k, so far. I called the appliance store where I bought the machine in 3/06 and they said I needed a new control panel and use the machine until it died. I have had 3 previous times where I have had to have the control panel replaced. What is going on?
Answer Janice, The first thing that you will want to do is access the tech sheet inside the unit. Put the unit into a diagnostic mode and see if any error codes come up. If there are no error codes then the control board would most likely be the issue. If there are error codes then test the component that the code refers to. Read More...
