Answer Shootemandeatem, You will first want to check to see if the condenser fan motor is operational and that the coils are clean. If the fan motor is not working it will cause the compressor to overheat and will cause the buzzing noise. You will also want to check your start relay to make sure that the relay is not burnt. If it is then you will need to replace the relay. If all this checks ok and relay has no burn marks and doesn't rattle then the compressor would be faulty and need to be replaced. Read More...
