Jack B for Model Number 253.28432806 I have an upright Kenmore freezer and it is only reaching 10 degrees F. It will not go lower than than 10 no matters where I set the number on the control. I have unplugged and reset the freezer with no change. The compressor does shut off and on, but will not get colder than 10 degrees. Please advise your thoughts. Thank You.
Answer Jack, The most likely cause for the unit operating properly but not getting down to the proper temperature would be a faulty thermistor. If the thermistor is out of tolerance then it will cause the unit to cycle off even if the temp is only 10 degrees.
