Chuck for Model Number Kenmore 253.28432809 Stand up Freezer I think our stand up freezer gave out from some recent power outages in the area, but it's only 1.5 years old. Everything inside has thawed and we don't hear the unit turn on any longer. What I can assess: there is no frost over the coils. Unplugging/re-plugging into other outlets still gives power to the unit although on the front control panel, instead of numbers it displays gibberish when pressing the up and down arrows (they look like broken analog numbers, possibly letters?) Does this indicate a bad control panel as the main culprit? The replacement looks like it will take 10 seconds, but I'd like to be as sure as I can that will fix our freezer by itself before spending ~$80 on the panel only to find it still does not work. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Answer Hello Chuck. If the control is not working, you will need to replace the part 297370602 to repair the unit and get it going again. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 27, 2015
