Mike J for Model Number 25328442801 I replaced the control panel a few years ago when it went out. After that it worked fine until now. Now it won't bring the temperature down to freezing The lowest it gets is between 38 and 45 degrees F. I have tried unplugging the power cord for a few minutes and then plugging it back in no success on that. The compressor is running all the time without bringing it down. I am thinking that it might be the control panel again. Any ideas. Thank You.
Answer Mike, It would be recommended to check to see if there is either a defrost issue or a sealed system issue. The way to determine this would be to remove the rear panel inside the freezer and check the frost pattern of the evaporator coils. If the coils are impacted with ice then test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat for continuity and if there is no continuity it is bad. If there is continuity then the issue will be a faulty control. If there is very little ice mainly toward the top of the evaporator coils then this will be a sealed system issue in which you will need to have service tech. The frost pattern should be a full even frost from top to bottom. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, July 26, 2017
