Nellie G. for Model Number FPRH19D7LF1 About a week ago we noticed that the items on the top shelf were beginning to freeze, not solid, but they would have ice in them. We adjusted the temperature to see if that would help, from 38°F to 40°F. Yesterday the alert started going off, so I get the manual down and start going through page 11 and finally after about an hour I get the light back on a and the alert bell to stop and the temperature back to 38°F. Well, it's all back. The repairman will not be here till next Tuesday, a week from today. I'm not really sure what I did that made the alert stop yesterday. If I put it in Sabbath Mode and the alert goes off, can I leave it there for an extended time without doing any more damage? Thanks
Answer Hello Nellie, You will need to test the temperature sensor 297110400. Also, make sure there is sufficient room behind and at the sides of the unit for proper air circulation, (3 inches required). If the unit is on carpeting this can also alter its' normal operating temperature. Make sure there is no iceball on the Freon lines coming into the rear wall of the unit in the evaporator compartment which would indicate a low Freon charge. If no problems are found, the electronic control 297326500 is the most likely cause of the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 3, 2018
