This dispenser control board is the electronic module behind the refrigerator's ice/water dispenser panel. It reads button inputs and powers dispenser functions to help restore reliable dispensing and front-panel control when the original board fails. What it does

  • Processes user selections for water, cubed/crushed ice, and dispenser light (model-dependent)
  • Sends power to the water inlet valve and auger/dispenser motor as commanded
  • Manages dispenser lock and status/display indicators (if equipped)
  • Failure symptoms include unresponsive or intermittent controls, no water or ice dispensing, or an inoperative dispenser light
What's included
  • Includes 1 dispenser control module (electronic board)
Install notes
  • Disconnect power before servicing; use ESD protection and handle the board by its edges
  • Remove the dispenser escutcheon/cover to access the module; release locking tabs or screws as needed
  • Transfer wire connectors one at a time to the new board, confirming orientation and full seating
  • Reassemble, restore power, and test all dispenser functions

Answer

Ed, Remove the drip tray from the dispenser. Once removed you will need to take out the one screw at the front under the tray. Then you gently pull out on the bottom and all the way around to pop the front panel off. Once off you will then remove 2 screws at the top of the control panel. Remove the control board and you will have access to the funnel assembly.
