One has to manually pull the lever forward to stop the flow. I assume that Module-Dispenser 242074216 / AP5952228 needs to be replaced, but thought I'd confirm. Thanks!

Eve May 31, 2023 for Model Number LGHC2342LF3 We have a 2012 Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator freezer. Over the past year the ice maker flapper will not stay open. However if we stick our hand up there and hold it the ice will dispense. We are very handy and did some sleuthing online to see what the problem may be. We have tried replacing the flapper part, the panel, the solenoid and tested the dispenser switch for continuity with a multimeter (which was good) and none of them have solved the problem. Any idea of what else it could be?

Dnj August 06, 2019 for Model Number FGHF2366PFAA Fresh Food Freezer for model FGHF2366PFAA is not working. All FF diagnostics seem to check out and run correctly, but the ice maker does not run automatically. FF freezer temp seems to stay around 28 deg F. Any suggestions for repair would be appreciated.

If there is a good frost pattern (light snow covering the evap coils) then the most likely issue is the thermistor 240597220 has failed and is not registering the proper resistance. Danjh March 08, 2019 for Model Number FGHS2631PF0 I have a Frigidaire Gallery Side by side Model number FGHS2631PF0 . The ice dispenser won't dispense ice because the flapper won't stay open. I can see that the solenoid opens the flapper, but it immediately closes before the auger can rotate. The part number on the front of the module is 2420742 04 B Replacing the entire module is easy but costly. Is it possible to just replace the solenoid or do I have to buy an entire module? Richard January 06, 2019 for Model Number Fbhg2844LF5 My ice/water paddle fails the diagnostic test. Pushing the paddle produces zero effects. The ice maker is making ice. Both the auger and chute activate under their respective diagnostic test. Does mean replacing the ice/water module or is there a momentary contact switch replacement that can be done. The door switch passes both it’s diagnostic test and open/light on and off test.

Ron November 08, 2018 Frigidaire Gallery side by side ice dispenser 'clunks (noise)' but will not dispense ice. If you catch and hold open the dispenser door before it shuts auger will engage and dispense ice. Appears the problem is dispenser door closing too quickly?

December 20, 2017 for Model Number FGUS2642LF2 After having the refrigerator water dispenser module replaced (Part# 2420742 11 C) by an appliance repair shop, the new module had no short tube hanging down to fill small neck bottles. When I called the repair shop the repair guy told me the new module didn't provide the size hole needed for the tube to hang out. After comparing the two modules, they look exactly the same. Is this true or is the tech pulling the wool over my eyes?
