Kathy I have a Fridgidaire AC, LRA257ST2, that won't power off. The on/off button works, but only for the Cooling part & Fan. Something keeps running, I have no idea if it's the compressor or not. It just sounds like a motor running. After testing it all day, I noticed that most of the time the AC won't cut off at all, even after putting it up to 80, and being 69 in the house. I keep it on econ, so I switched to Cool & had to keep turning in off and on, with the noise still going. Also, if there's a part that will fix it, is it okay to still run it? Or would it overheat? Thanks
Answer Kathy, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board 5304492070 and would be recommended to unplug the unit when you want it off. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, August 18, 2017
