Colleen Parks for Model Number AP5690431 Hi, I have installed this drain pump but can't see where the Orange flap goes. There was nothing like it in the part I pulled out. There's flap in the drain tube coming out of the drain pump, but it looks fine, doesn't seem to need replacing. l saw a mention of the "sump assembly" but since I didn't touch that at all when I removed the old pump, I'm not sure how it's related. Do I have to take apart the circulation motor to get to the sump? Any help here would be very appreciated.
Answer Colleen, The orange flap may not be necessary. If the flapper that you show coming out of the drain tube for the pump looks ok with no damage then it would not be required as this is to replace that part if necessary. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, July 17, 2014
