Jesse for Model Number FDB4315LFC2 Water wasn't draining so I took everything apart. Checked the line to make sure it wasn't clogged, checked the drain pump and everything seems to be fine. When I hit the cancel button it drains the rest of the water out, but during cycle it doesn't drain. Do I need to replace the drain pump? Also now that I opened the drain pump it leaks even though the o-ring is in there. Am I missing something or do I need to use a specific lubricant?
Answer Hello Jesse, The only lubricant used during assembly is liquid soap. Anything else could cause "O" ring premature failure. If there are no clogs and the filters are clean the drain pump 154580301 is the obvious suspect. Anytime the circulation pump is removed the "O" rings should both be replaced, (the new circulation pump 154844101 will include these "O" rings. Read More...
