Andrew for Model Number FGBD2434PF1A I replaced the pump motor a few months ago, because my dishwasher was not draining completely. This seemed to resolve the issue for a while. The issue started again a week ago, but if I start a cycle and immediately cancel a few times, the dishwasher empties itself. I can see water falling from the air gap into the disposal, so if the tubing or air gap is clogged, they aren't fully clogged. I also checked the check valve/flap in the bottom of the unit and removed the strainer in the bottom of the tub and found both to be clean and free of obstructions. I don't think a pump went bad in a few months. Could it be the water level sensor? Tonight the unit overflowed and came out on the floor. The area around that water level sensor seemed wet even though the plastic float inside the dishwasher raises and drops freely. Please advise
Answer Andrew, If the unit overfilled then this will most likely be an issue with the water level switch assembly 154773201. For the drain issue you will want to check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the drain and may need to replace the drain hose if inside the pump is clear. Read More...
