Alfonso for Model Number Mod FRS23KF6DQ2 Solenoid used to dispense ice is not working. I want to know how to replace it, in case it is the problem. Thanks in advance.
Answer Alfonso, There are two(2) solenoids involved in the ice dispenser circuit. 1) is the shifter are solenoid, it determines wether the ice dispensed will be cubed or crushed ice, depending on what you select. It's located in the back of the freezer, behind the ice bin. 2) is the ice door solenoid, it opens and closes the dispenser door to release the cubes, then closes. What seems to be the problem ?
