Curt for Model Number plhs269zdb5 New parts are IN BOLD My ice maker never fills with water. I ordered a replacement ICE MAKER from you that did not remedy my problem. I subsequently replaced the WATER INLET VALVE then the DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. The in-door water dispenser works just as it should. The problem appears to be that a signal is never sent to the Inlet Valve to fill the tray. I have manually started a harvest cycle then waited to capture the voltage signal sent to the inlet valve requesting the fill water. There was never any voltage sent to the Inlet valve for the Ice maker. As I mentioned, the water dispenser works fine so I know it it not a water supply or power to the main fill valve problem. The only common element I have found is the ice maker itself. Unfortunately my original stopped working and the new one from you doesn't work either. So, I'm stuck. What component is in common to both ice makers that would cause no signal being sent to the Ice Maker fill valve, while the main fill works fine allowing the dispenser to work?
Answer Curt, It would be recommended to check the fill tube to ensure that the fill tube is not frozen which will be the most likely cause for no water to come into the icemaker. For this issue if there is no power getting to the water valve then this will most likely be an issue with the icemaker itself or possibly a wiring issue within the unit. Read More...
