Diane for Model Number WNXR2100T8WW I removed the agitator and checked the splines and bolt. The bolt was loose and the splines looked ok but the agitator still will not agitate. Sounds like a loose chain when it starts but still spins great and water drains fine. Anybody have a suggestion please ?
Answer Hi Diane. There is a washer agitator coupler 3" round by 3" tall with a tapered top under the agitator itself. If this is broken then it will have this affect. Part # WH49X10042. Once you have the agitator off, look to see if the hub nut part # WH2X1193 has loosened from the top of the agitator. Use loctite part # F8283401 on the threads to help keep it tight. Then look underneath the large transmission pulley nut to see if this is tight as well. If it is then you need to replace the transmission assy. part # WH38X10002. And the tub seal part # WH02X10383.
