Steve The light blue plastic tubing that runs from the water inlet valve to the ice maker up the back of the refrigerator to the opening in the rear of the freezer has a hole in it. Thus whenever the vavle opens to send water up to the icemaker, water leaks all over the floor. There are two holes separated by about 1/4 inch. Can I cut out half an inch of tubing and then simply insert this fitting in the line to repair? Or do I need to ( should I instead) take out the entire tubing and install a new line from the water inlet valve up the back to the freezer/icemaker? If I install this correctly will it last?
Answer Hello Steve. Based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the tube WR17X11349. The compression union WR02X11330 is the wrong size for the tube. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, July 27, 2011
