Thanh T. for Model Number wchv6800joms The washer is making a lot of noise during the final spin. I checked the shocks and one was cracked so I replaced that. No change. Still a lot noise (not banging), like it is not balanced. I emptied the pump's button catch. No change in noise. When the spin is set on Medium, not high, there is little to no noise. What is wrong w/ this washer? Thanks in advance for your help.
Answer Hello Thanh, If your model number is actually WCVH6800J0MS, you should check the weights on the outside of the outer tub. If any of them are loose they will make a racket. Also check the support springs and make sure they are in the rearmost slots in the cabinet openings. If these are good you should run a spin only cycle to heat up the bearings and when it stops, open the door and turn the spin basket, feeling for any roughness or opposition to rotation. If this is good also, reach inside and lift the front of the spin basket, feeling for slack between the spin basket and the outer tub assembly. Turn the spin basket 1/3 of a turn and so this again. Now turn it another 1/3 of a turn and do the same once more. If you feel a "clunk" in any position, it indicates that the spinner support assembly WH45X10142 has an issue. Read More...
