Manufacturer Part Number: WD12X10109

The Fine Filter is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It is designed to trap food particles and debris during the wash cycle, preventing them from recirculating onto the dishes and ensuring clean, spotless results.

Causes of a bad fine filter can include clogs from food particles, damage from sharp objects, or wear and tear over time. A compromised filter can lead to poor cleaning performance and potentially damage other components by allowing debris to circulate.

Symptoms of a bad Fine Filter include:

  • Poor cleaning results with food particles left on dishes
  • Increased noise during operation
  • Water drainage issues
  • Visible damage or clogging in the filter

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Bob B for Model Number DRYER

I have another question about the clothes dryer and about a side by side fridge. The dryer selection knob broke because it is hard to turn. Must turn with vice grips. Is this because the timer selection needs replaced? Also my question about the fridge is , i have a side by side fridge in the garage, we live in n.E. Ohio where it is cold. I noticed the freezer was no longer freezing but fridge is fine. Is this due to the cold weather or is the freeze broke. My son said he has the same problem and said it was due to the cold in the garage. Is he correct? Thank you dryer model dbxr463eg6ww

Answer

Hello Bod, If you are having to turn the timer knob on the dryer with vice grips you will need to replace the timer. On the refrigerator the unit is designed to operate in temps between 55 and 100 degrees ambient temp. If it goes outside if this range it will not work properly. The cold is causing freezer to not operate but it is cold enough ambient to keep refrigerator cold enough to not have to run.
