Cynthia December 25, 2021 for Model Number GLD6500L00BB i am having a hard time determining if this filter will fit my older GE dishwasher. It looks the same, but I cannot find a crosswalk document to tell me if it will fit. I have a GLD6500L00BB GE dihswasher. Thank you!
1 Answer Cynthia, the fine filter WD12X10109 would be used with the model number provided. Read More...
Pete September 06, 2021 for Model Number GE gdt580ssf6ss I want to replace the float switch in this model but cannot remove the ultra-fine filter. It seems to be completely stuck and will not turn counterclockwise, even using a wrench. It is like it is fused to the bottom of the dishwasher. Do you have any suggestions on how to remove it? It looks very easy viewing the online videos but I can't get the thing to turn at all. Thanks
Jim January 18, 2021 for Model Number GSD6210k00SB I was cleaning out my fine filter on my GE GSD6210K00SB dishwasher and the rubber/plastic hose that comes out of the bottom of the dishwasher looks like it has soften and broken off. Can you tell me what part number this is. I can't tell from the parts diagram and want to avoid taking the whole thing apart before buying the replacement. Thank you.
Vernon C. December 10, 2020 for Model Number pdwt280vooss After a wash our dishes weren't clean, I removed the basket and found a piece of broken gasket around where filter installs and piece laying behind water tube, removed pieces, and next load were cleaner but had pieces of food no most of dishes. How can I repair this problem? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Vernon, There are several things that can cause a poor wash result. Lack of water circulation, lack of proper water temperature, and lack of proper detergent are the three things that technicians look at first. One of these will be the issue. You should pull the tech sheet and check for the proper water level after the filling and proper water temperature first if the detergent is of sufficient quality. Of course, if there is a gasket issue, it should be replaced. This could cause a water circulation issue. Read More...
Rob April 16, 2019 for Model Number gld4406r00bb There is a silver round thin gasket/seal that is placed under the coarse filter and around the last part which touches the base of the dishwasher pump inlet opening. The diagrams are not showing it and none of the videos! This disintegrated when I lifted the coarse filter to clean it. Another visitor also asked for the same part, but the part number listed was not correct. It's not plastic, it is just a thin gasket/seal. Please let me now the part number.
1 Answer Rob, It appears that the manufacturer is not showing the gasket you are referring to and would appear that it may come with the new fine filter or may not be required any longer. Read More...
Al T. May 12, 2018 for Model Number PDW8281J10SS At 1:24 in the video on this page, after the drain filter has been removed, you'll see the white sleeve that that filter had been plugged into sticking up from below. I need that sleeve piece. I removed the filter to clean it and it came out with the filter, and has disintegrated into pieces and can't be reused. How is that replaced, and (being in Canada) can I order it from you? What's the part number - I don't see it on the blowout diagram? I can only assume it fits into part 455.
1 Answer Hello Al, The part number is WD12X10061 for the fine filter hub nut. I'm sorry but we can only ship in the United States. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Michael G March 08, 2015 for Model Number PDW8900/9700/9900 In our dishwasher the drain port of the fine filter has disintegrated. It is made out of white rubber that simply vulcanized and when we gently removed the fine filter assembly the drain port simply broke in half. What is the part number for this drain port and how do I replace it?
1 Answer Michael, Based on your description it sounds like the part number you are looking for would be the sump inlet WD18X10026. The only other part that it may be is the pump connector WD18X10010. Both of these parts you would need to pull the unit out and lay it on its back to access the pump and motor assembly and disassemble to access. Read More...
Adrienne June 24, 2014 for Model Number PDWT500R30BB Our fine filter has small particles that are light brown in it and they aren't coming out. Do you have a suggestion to clean it? We are trying to figure out what it is but we haven't been able to narrow it down. One of our sons drinks gelatin shakes- could that somehow be it? But gelatin isn't small particles. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Adrienne, I would recommend heated white vinegar. In some cases, it may be necessary to simply replace the parts since there are cases that the particles tend to "fuse" to the plastic parts. There is no way to figure out what the particles are without laboratory analysis. Read More...
Tim B. November 10, 2013 for Model Number GSD660G10WW There is a stem on the bottom of the FILTER FINE ASM that appears to slip into a rubber/plastic sleeve. My rubber/plastic sleeve is mostly disolved. Is this part vital to the proper operation or can I forget about it? We plan on getting a new dishwasher soon.
1 Answer Hello Tim, The only reason this is important is the water pressure will be lost if there isn't a good seal. Loss of water pressure will result in an un-satisfactory wash result, since the spray delivers the detergent water and the chemical reaction it generates when the water is heated. You should replace the parts that are disolved and remember that the chemical reaction will attack and damage the units' internal parts if too much detergent is present in relation to the amount of food particles present. In other words, the chemical reaction that does not have food particles to attack will attack the rubber seals, cheaper glassware, and patterns on plates. It isd for this reason the manufacturers recommend to scrape the dishes and leave some food particles to occupy the chemical reaction. Read More...
