Luke for Model Number GE WCVH626OFWW

Hi: My GE washer will not run or drain. When I run it, it will spin in one direction, then another, then it will fill with water....then it just sits there as the timer counts down...to what, I don't know. I've tried re-programming the control board back to the model number in the t02 mode, and when I get to the t05 mode, the 'P' comes up and there is just a hum for awhile, then it stops humming. Does it sound like a control board or inverter problem? Thanks, Luke

Answer

Luke, With the unit stopping on the t05 of the diagnostic test, this is for the pump. You will want to check the pump to make sure that there is power getting to it. If it is then check to make sure that the hoses are not clogged and nothing caught in the pump impeller or the filter. If this checks clear then the pump would need to be replaced.
