Edward June 14, 2018 for Model Number WPDH8800J3MG My spin cycle is not working. I ordered a belt from your company, but it did not fix the issue. I figured out how to run diagnostics on the washer, and it gives me code E-22. Does this mean I need a new motor? If so, is the part WH20X10028? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Edward, E-22 indicates there is an internal problem with the drive motor. As per the tech sheet, you should first measure AC outlet voltage; ensure correct range (120V to 132V AC). Check electrical connections at the drive motor. Check harness integrity between main control and drive motor. Unplug the unit, wait 30 seconds and restart the unit. If the fault persists and reappears, replace the drive motor WH20X10028. Read More...
Feller December 01, 2016 for Model Number WPDH8800J0MV does the wh49x10100 have metal case. everything I see it is plastic, if so does it replace the metal case model, that is what is in mine.
1 Answer Feller, Yes, the WH20X10028 / WH20X10028 Motor Assembly Kit is a "metal" assembly. Yes it is a "direct replacement" part for the original motor in your machine. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks Read More...
Jack October 17, 2016 for Model Number WPDH8800J0WW My washer won't start. Normally when I hit start, it would say washing and make a few rotation before filling. Now it still say washing but the drum wont spin. After about a minute of idle, it would turn off. I went through the service mode and the error code is E10. Do you have any recommendations?
1 Answer Hello Jack. For an E10 error code is says to check the integrity of the wiring and connectors between the main control and motor drive. If good, you will need to replace the inverter kit WH49X10100. Read More...
Justin November 04, 2015 for Model Number WCVH6800J2WW Hello, I was wondering if there is a sensor that determines if the wash load is off balance on spin or is it determined by the motor current draw or tachometer.
1 Answer Hello Justin. This model does not have an error for out of balance, so it is likely the board is the sensor. Read More...
Tom August 10, 2015 for Model Number wcvh6800j1ms I have a G.E. washer model #wcvh6800j1ms manufactured in 2009. It has a self-system check, when start is pushed, the door locks, the drum turns for 1 or 2 seconds, then after a little bit, it fills with water. My problem is-when I push start, the door locks, but no drum turn or water. I have tried to get the machine into service mode but can't. The tech sheet says press signal-delay-signal-delay, within 30 seconds of plugging machine in. I assume this means the signal button (washer signals audibly when done. volume can be raised or lowered), and the delay start button. I do this with the washer plugged in, both with the power on and with power off. I've also pressed just the signal button, waited a couple of seconds, then pressed signal again. Nothing works. I don't get any error or diagnostic code. I turn the knob to different cycle settings and try same things. Nothing, does it matter if the water to the unit is turned off or on? I've tried it both ways. Can you figure out a way that might get this machine into service mode? I'm thinking it's either the water inlet valve, the motor, the motor control board, or possibly the main control board (panel). Is an inverter the same thing as the motor control board? There is a roundish rectangular white thing right near the motor control board with wires going to the motor control board and the main control board. What would this thing be? could it be the problem? It is about half the size of the motor control board. I've spent a lot of time, research and work on this machine and am very frustrated. I'm hoping you can help. I don't want to buy one part, find out machine doesn't work, buy another part, machine still doesn't work, and keep going like that. The orange coils I can see inside the motor look great. Also, this has happened several times in the past, most notably in the winter. There is very little heat in my basement. When the temperature would get warm, or when I would heat my basement up, I could usually get the washer to work. In the spring and summer, I do have a problem with moisture and humidity in my basement.would this have any effect on the machine? Even if it's the motor, shouldn't I still be getting water into the machine? thank you.
1 Answer Tom, With the issue that is going on with your unit, it is most likely not going to be a motor issue but would be a issue with the main control board. The part number for the board is WH12X10468. Read More...
Luke April 14, 2015 for Model Number GE WCVH626OFWW Hi: My GE washer will not run or drain. When I run it, it will spin in one direction, then another, then it will fill with water....then it just sits there as the timer counts down...to what, I don't know. I've tried re-programming the control board back to the model number in the t02 mode, and when I get to the t05 mode, the 'P' comes up and there is just a hum for awhile, then it stops humming. Does it sound like a control board or inverter problem? Thanks, Luke
1 Answer Luke, With the unit stopping on the t05 of the diagnostic test, this is for the pump. You will want to check the pump to make sure that there is power getting to it. If it is then check to make sure that the hoses are not clogged and nothing caught in the pump impeller or the filter. If this checks clear then the pump would need to be replaced. Read More...
Rick April 07, 2015 for Model Number wcvh6800j1mr My washer will lock the door run water in then just sits there for a while. Runs the water out then sits again with pause light flashing. If I hit the pause start it does the same thing again. Tub does not agitate/turn at all. The belt is good. Could this be the motor or the controls?
1 Answer Rick, You will want to test the door switch on the unit to make sure that the door switch is not bad. Also check at the main control board for power to the motor. The best option would be to put the unit into a diagnostic mode and see if there are any stored error codes. This will also direct to where to check next. Read More...
Christine December 07, 2014 for Model Number wcvh6260fww while washing a load of clothes the washer had about 2 min left in the final spin and it started banging really bad. I shut it off and just threw the clothes in the dryer. when doing a second load it did the same thing with about 12 min left and started smoking. I thought it may have been the belt but upon inspection it appears to be good. no burned spots or wear marks. it sounds like it may be coming from inside the drum. any suggestions would be very helpful.
1 Answer Hello Christine. It sounds like the bearings are bad and the rear tub WH45X10071 will need to be replaced. Read More...
Jason August 07, 2014 for Model Number WCVH6800J2BB Got error code E46 or maybe E4b, on the tumble test it will spin counterclock wise but not clockwise, does nothing on the spin test. If you try to wash it will lock door rotate counterclock wise, unlock lock rotate counterclock wise fill with water rotate counter clockwise and then eventually after a couple turns drains unlocks and the start button flashes. Tested the ohmson the wires on the motor tested aroundn 6.3 ohms, test the sensor wire at board tested open, 123volts at the power supply on test t10 or t11
1 Answer Hello Jason. Motor drive issues. Make sure AC voltage is 120vac. Check wiring connections at the motor. Check the wiring harness. Reset the unit by unplugging it. Replace motor if all above is good. Read More...
Lynn February 07, 2014 for Model Number GFWN1100L3WW Replaced and reset control board. Ran all tests of which all passed except spinning the drum. I assume then, I have a bad motor, or sensor or inverter. My guess is the motor. We are out of the country with no repair people available to verify.
1 Answer Lynn, The most likely cause would be the inverter rather than the motor. But you would also want to check the door latch assembly to make sure that it is good. Read More...
