Kenny G for Model Number WHDSR417D0WW Hi, I had a transmission go out on our GE washer, and with the help of your website, I was able to replace it without too much trouble. Just some corroded parts that were tough to loosen. I also put a new belt on, replaced the tub bearing, split ring, hub nut and replaced a broken dampening strap while I had the thing torn apart. Got it put back together and now it floods no matter what load size setting is used. We have to shut the machine off to stop the inflow of water. It pumps out just fine, but it will not shut off when bringing in water. Any ideas on where to start? The machine was running well prior to the transmission going out, so I wouldn't think the pressure switch went bad "over night. Any common mistakes that could cause the problem? Or did I screw up the reassembly? Any ideas would be helpful. By the way, your web site is awesome. I now have a honey do list on the dryer and fridge as well. Thanks, Kenny
Answer Kenny, You will want to make sure that you reattached the pressure hose or that the pressure hose was not damaged during previous repair. if the pressure hose is disconnected it will not allow the unit to shut off. Make sure that it is attached at the tub and at the pressure switch. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 8, 2016
