Scot for Model Number PDW7880 I have a GE Profile Model # PDW7880 that's 9 years old. My wife mentioned that she recently noticed standing water at the completion of the cycle when she opened the D/W to unload. The water comes all the way up to the heating element so I used a wet/dry vac to get the standing water out. I have done a lot of troubleshooting and have cleaned the sump are getting pistachio shells out and other paper debris. I have also ensured there is no blockage in the disposal hose, and have pushed the reset button to try and force the drain pump to engage to drain the water from the unit. The water will not drain. Do I need to replace the drain pump or do you have other recommendations/troubleshooting ideas? Water seems to load OK into the unit so I haven't checked the supply lines coming into the unit... Any ideas are appreciated.
Answer Scot, You will want to check the impeller assembly on the pump to make sure that it is not damaged or have clogs. If this checks ok then the drain pump WD26X10016 would most likely be the cause for the failure. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 27, 2014
