Larry for Model Number PDW7300 Have a PDW7300 dishwasher. During the rinse and wash cycles the water is slowly being pushed out of the dishwasher into the sink. Water level gets so low that the main pump is no longer able to provide the volume of water to the spray arms for it to continue washing. When the drain phase hits it empties the remaining water out. Seems like the water is being forced past the drain pump during normal main pump operations. Does that mean the drain pump is allowing the water past the impeller? Do I need to replace the whole drain pump? Is there to much back pressure from main pump that is it forcing water past the drain pump.
Answer Larry, You will want to check the drain pump to make sure that there is no voltage getting to the pump when the unit is in the wash mode. If there is no voltage then it just sounds like a drain pump issue, if there is voltage going to it then the issue will be with the control board. Read More...
