Don for Model Number WCSR4170G0WW My washer, on the agitation cycle, will bang as the bottom ear will bang on the base part. Thinking it was the shock absorbers, I replaced these, but still banging, on closer examination, I see that the tub is now hanging down too low -- by a fraction. This is worst on super full loads, but I have always done super loads. So, two questions: Do the springs get "tired"? I was able to hammer down that floor plate a little bit, and the agitation now clears it, but I'm sure this is not how it's supposed to be, in original design. All four are equal (i.e, no springs specifically broken), which is why I'm wondering if the springs shrink over time. And question two, which parts do I need, green in front, and black in the back? Might the front two be enough? Thanks!
Answer Don, You will want to check the apron of the washer where the rods attach to. It sounds as though this may be flexing causing the washer to drag on the base. If this is the case then you could install part number WH49X20925 to correct this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Sunday, December 27, 2020
