Ruth for Model Number JGB605SET1S I have an Adora Gas 5 burner range. Everything worked well until the first time I tried to use the center burner. Now the igniter will not stop clicking...even when everything is off. I cleaned every igniter and every igniter hole thoroughly. Still clicks. I opened the back of the stove where the wiring harness is and alternately unplugged each burner and clicking continues. Finally, I unplugged the stove and have been lighting the burners by hand for a few months now and everything seems to work fine. (The center burner works OK but doesn't have an even flame.) Since I'm afraid to light the oven by hand, I haven't been able to bake. Can you help diagnosis???
Answer Ruth, Based on the information it sounds as though the issue may be in the ignition switch for the center burner. You will want to access the control valves by removing the control panel. Once removed you will then need to do a continuity test of the ignition switch with the burner in the off position and see if there is continuity. Would be good to check all of them. If there is any continuity on any of them then the switch is bad and would need to be replaced. If the switches show that they are good then the spark module would be the issue. Read More...
