Robert for Model Number CGS990SET4SS I have a GE Café Double Oven Range, CGS990SET4SS. The burners all work as does the lower oven. The top oven doesn't work. No broiler function or oven burner function. Since both features in the top oven aren't working, I'm suspecting whatever controls the top oven to be the problem rather than both ignitors. Can you help me with what that part is?
Answer Robert, If you check at the oven safety valve WB21K10160 for the upper oven and test for 3.2 to 3.6 vac when the oven is turned on. If there is no voltage then check to see if the igniters are glowing. If they are but not proper voltage then the igniters would be the issue. If they are not glowing then test for 120 vac to the igniter. If there is 120 vac then the igniters are bad and if there is not 120 vac then the control board on the unit is defective and would need to be replaced. Read More...
