Geoffrey for Model Number GDT645SYN3FS Hi, We have a new, 13 months old, dishwasher, and it will not dry the dishes completely, they are not steaming hot as before. I see online it could be the flood switch, heating element or thermostat. Can you give me an idea of the tests needed to check these parts. Thanks Geoff
Answer Geoffrey, the heating element WD05X35098 and TCO WD21X27402 can be tested from the main control and should measure 14.5 Ohms of resistance when testing the wires at connection J704 pin 2 to pin 1. The turbidity sensor WD21X22830 would need to be tested from the wires at connection J806 pin 11 to pin 8. It should measure around 10K Ohms of resistance at room temperature. If this tests good, the next step would be identifying if the vent fan WD24X25325 is receiving 13.5 VDC during the drying cycle. If the fan does not, the main control WD21X27998 has failed. If the fan does but it does not rotate, the fan motor has failed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 23, 2021
