Ed for Model Number WM2301HR I have an LG washer model #WM2301HR in which I suspect the bearings are worn out. I have ordered the following parts: 4280FR4048E, 4036ER2004A, 4036ER4001B and 4280FR4048L. When I check compatibility on your site it says not compatible with my model washer....my first question is are these the correct parts for this model washer? My second question involves lubricating the bearings and seal prior to installations. Which grease should be used - high temperature or low temperature and should the bearings be completely packed prior to instsllation. As for the seal, should it have oil or a thin film of grease on it or go in dry and clean? Thanks for your help and do you recommend any particular repairmen in my area?
Answer Ed, according to the model number given the replacement bearings are part numbers 4280EN4001C and 4280EN4001F. The seal is part number 4036ER2004A. The tub seal is part number 4036ER4001B. The parts ordered are correct for your model. The bearings and seals do not require oil/grease. However, when installing you can apply a very small amount of detergent/liquid soap to them. to make them install easier. Unfortunately, we do not have information regarding repair companies in your area. We do, however, have a handy repair video on our site that will assist you with the installation. Just click on the part numbers provided in this passage. Hope this helps you. Thanks. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 6, 2014
